Fine line, added to your craft

You already work on skin

You've built the trust. Now expand your services.

Your clients already know, like and trust you. Fine line tattooing allows you to maximise those relationships, increase client spend and attract a wider audience, without learning an entirely new skill from scratch. You're not starting again. You're building on foundations you already have.

The beauty industry has changed. The artists thriving today aren't necessarily the most talented. They're the ones who adapt. Fine line gives you a way to stand out, diversify your income and offer something your competitors don't.

What's different for you

Two days, because you don't need four.

Beginners spend four days building foundations from zero. You already have them. So we skip what you already know and teach in your sleep, and spend every minute on the part that's new.

What you skip

The foundations you already own

  • Skin, needle and anatomy theory from scratch
  • Hygiene and safe-practice basics
  • First-time nerves around working on skin
  • Days of building up to your first client

What we focus on instead

Two days, entirely on fine line

  • The fine line technique, with advanced machine and needle knowledge
  • Drawing and creating stencils using Procreate
  • Adapting your skills across different areas of the body
  • Real skin practice on live models

Can't get to the studio? The online fine line course covers the same crossover, at your own pace.

The two days

What your two days actually look like.

  1. 01Day one

    Straight into fine line

We recap the theory you already know, skin and anatomy applied to body tattoos, answer every health, safety and tech question, and run back through Procreate. You'll apply and peel your first stencils, then learn the fine line technique, some of it close to PMU, some adjusted for different areas of the body, and tattoo your designs on practice pads ready for your models.

    • Technique + practice-pad tattooing

  2. 02Day two

    Your first live models

We recap day one and answer anything you're unsure of, with more practice on fake skin. Then you tattoo your first live model, guided start to finish, as slowly as you need. In the afternoon you'll tattoo a second model (you arrange your models for day two), and a third if there's time. You'll leave with everything you need to start adding fine line to your business.

    • A second model (and a third if time)
    • Ready to offer fine line

The investment

The new skill that pays for itself.

You don't need to build a new business. You already have one. Fine line tattooing lets you make more of the trust you've already earned, by adding an in-demand treatment that complements the work you're known for. In just two days you'll learn the techniques, practise on live models, and leave with a clear plan for launching fine line into your existing business. For many artists, a handful of bookings is enough to cover the investment.

A deposit secures your place, and payment plans are available. Pay in full before you train and your tattoo machine is on us. Your career call is free, and commits you to nothing.

The bonus package · included with your training

  • 30-Day Content Plan worth £197Because adding a new treatment is only valuable if people know about it.
  • Business Launch Plan worth £297So you're not left wondering how to start offering tattoos once training ends.
  • Progression Session worth £497A private 1:1 check-in three months later to review your work and keep you moving.

"I can learn it… but will I actually use it?" This is built to make sure you do.

Five-star Google review from Amy Millard: Trained with Kayleigh in May and in just 2 months I have completed over 70 fine line tats which is crazy! It has changed my beauty business for the better, providing me with double the income and a full diary every week. Endless support from Kayleigh and the lovely ladies that have also trained with her. Worth every penny! Excited for the future.

Before you book

The questions PMU artists ask.

Is this the same as the beginner course?

No. The beginner course is four days from zero. This is two days, built for artists who already work on skin, so we skip the foundations you already have and spend the whole time on fine line.

Do I need tattooing experience, or just PMU?

PMU or cosmetic tattoo experience is the perfect base. If you already work on skin safely and confidently, you have what you need to make the most of these two days.

Can I really offer fine line to clients after two days?

Yes, with practice, as with any new skill. You'll leave with the technique, real-skin reps, and a clear plan for offering it. Many artists start on friends and existing clients within weeks, then build from there.

Does Petite Ink teach permanent make-up?

No, we teach fine line tattooing only. This training is for PMU artists who want to add fine line to what they already offer, it isn't a PMU course.

Do I need my own machine and models?

Pay in full before training and your tattoo machine is free (worth up to £250). Prefer your own? Bring a fine line machine with at least a 3.5mm stroke, Kayleigh recommends the Dragonhawk Mast Fold Pro, and you're welcome to try hers before you invest. You arrange your own models for day two, and bring an iPad with Procreate.

What about licensing for tattooing?

Tattooing is registered separately from PMU with your local council. We'll cover exactly what you need to add to your existing setup so you can offer fine line legally and safely. All training is IBA accredited and insurable.
